Stria Wood Pendant Light Collection
With the Stria wood pendant light, we have immersed ourselves in the traditional craft of woodturning and arrived at a form that is both familiar and new. Stria’s shape flows between an alternating rhythm of smooth and striated surfaces. This contrast in texture accentuates the natural beauty of the wood grain, giving this wood pendant light a warm and tactile appeal.
A Multitude of Options
The Stria collection follows a modular design, allowing for standard fixture lengths that range from 12” all the way up to 48” tall. The Stria works elegantly as a single pendant light or arranged in groupings to create striking installations.
The Stria wood pendant light is at home in a wide variety of settings from residential to commercial and can be loosely clustered over a restaurant bar, cascade at various lengths down a stairwell or work beautifully as modern kitchen island lighting.
The Stria’s wooden elements are complemented by a metal light shade that comes in standard black, white or solid brass. Custom colours for Stria shades, tailored to fit your project perfectly, are available upon request.
Your Choice of North American Hardwoods
The Stria wood pendant light collection is available in a variety of sustainably harvested wood species. Choose from black walnut, alder, western maple or ash. Custom wood types are also available upon request. All of Propellor Studio’s wood light fixtures are hand-finished to a satin sheen with a non-toxic, low VOC, LEED compliant natural oil and wax finish.
Dim to Warm LED lights
The Stria collection is illuminated by energy-efficient dim to warm 12 volt LED lights. Dim to warm technology allows for regulation of both the brightness of the light as well as the colour temperature which ranges from bright daylight (3000k) when fully lit, to warm candlelight (1800k) when fully dimmed. At its brightest,the Stria light is excellent to work by and is perfect for setting the right mood when dimmed.
