Alongside our design work, over the past decade we have returned to our roots as sculptors with a body of work called Range. This work takes our observations of the natural world into the realm of the miniature where we play with scale and flirt with hyper-realism.

As long as there has been art, humans have strived to capture and distill the peculiarities and grandeur of nature into representations to contemplate. The Range Series of mountain sculptures falls into this long tradition. These pieces are our quixotic attempts to recount our observations of the sublime beauty and severity of the high mountians in stone, gypsum and gesso.

Composing mountains, peak by peak, sometimes extending them into ranges, is an ongoing project for us. This body of work continues to slowly evolve mountain by mountain.
