Otherworldly: Optical Delusions and Small Realities at MAD

Range Redoubt - architectural experiment or disaster shelter, weekend escape or self-imposed prison, hermitage or last bastion of. . .

After concentrating for a decade on the design aspect of our practice, we have recently returned to our roots as sculptors with a body of work called Range which takes our explorations of nature away from abstraction, into the realm of the hyper- real. As our Range pieces have evolved, man made spaces have begun to insinuate themselves into the depths of the mountains. A tension has been building between the visible, pristine natural world and a subterranean built environment hidden within.

In 2011 we exhibited Range Redoubt in a show called Otherworldly: Optical Delusions and Small Realities at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
